The Local Organizing Committee of ISPA 2021 is greatly honored to be hosting the 42nd Annual Conference of the International School Psychology Association in collaboration with the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Psychologists Association, and with the professional support of Easy Conferences. We invite you to join us onsite in Cyprus or online via a dedicated platform for ISPA 2021 HYBRID between 13-16 July 2021. Be part of the most international celebration of School Psychology and learn from each other and from distinguished scholars, be inspired, and create networks of connection with colleagues from all over the world.
The ISPA 2021 conference theme “WORKING WITH SCHOOLS AND FAMILIES TO STRENGTHEN CHILDREN” was developed with a forward looking vision. It recognizes that all children need to be strengthened to face the challenges of today and the demands of tomorrow. There are multiple openings via direct and indirect paths to improve outcomes for children and youth as they make their passage through education, developmental stages, and life transitions. ISPA 2021 brings attention to School Psychology’s opportunity to facilitate positive change in the lives of children and to create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between school, home, and community.
The Hot Topics of ISPA 2021 highlight key areas in which the science and practice of school psychology can be applied to strengthen children. A new Hot theme “Responding to the Psychosocial Challenges of the Pandemic” added in 2021. Distinguished keynote speakers will share their vision for education in the future and propose their insights from years of research and implementation in promoting learning, thinking, and social emotional functioning among children. We invite scholars, practitioners, trainers, students, and early career professionals from around the world to share their aspirations, knowledge and expertise in school psychology and related areas by submitting paper and poster presentations, symposia, round table discussions, and workshops.
We feel that no one should walk alone especially in times of a global crisis…. nor children….. nor educators……nor families….. nor schools…..nor policy makers….nor school psychologists…. nor trainers….nor researchers. On the timeless island of Cyprus, the crossroads of ancient civilizations in the Mediterranean, ISPA 2021 aims to strengthen the field of School Psychology regionally and internationally and facilitate partnership across systems, between scholars and practitioners, and across national borders.
